For the Swift Group, it was key that we fully understood their staff’s needs when it came to ensuring the workers were adequately catered for.
As a result of getting this right where other catering companies had struggled, we’ve been privileged to work with the UK’s largest leisure vehicle manufacturer based in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, for 16 years.
Swift brought Harman’s in originally to rejuvenate their on-site catering facilities. Employees simply weren’t using the facility and its viability was a concern. Swift offered us the opportunity to take it over on an independently-run basis and we began, as always, by taking some time to ask their people what kinds of food they wanted, and gain their feedback on our sample menus. The result was a simple and affordable menu of staples like full English breakfasts and home-made pies, and the formula has worked well ever since.
Thanks to this success, the company is now involving us in an exciting new project to develop the current catering provision into an attractive new café and ‘time out’ space, reflective of the changing needs of their employee base since we’ve been working together.
